As many of you have already noticed, a Lending
Library has been established by the SHPOA for your reading
pleasure. The
Lending Library is a painted cabinet located at the Silver Harbour
marina. (See picture at left)
Please
note that the Library is not affiliated with the Post
Office.
FAQ's:
What is a lending library?
The
SHPOA Lending Library is a “take a book, return a book” free book
exchange for the entire community.
Are there rules for a
Lending Library?
Not
many! Just visit the lending library, leave some books inside
or chose some books you wish to read. It’s that easy!
Please
be respectful, though, and don’t cram books in a library that’s already
full or leave boxes of books at the library site. If the library is full and you wish
to donate a few more books, please email the library stewards at info@silverharbour.ca and you will be contacted
about options for additional book donations.
How do Lending Libraries work during
Covid-19?
Please take
the following precautions:
- Wash or sanitize your hands before and after
you open or close the lending library cabinet.
- If you are sick, do not visit until you are
symptom free.
- Do
not gather with others at the library (please maintain at least 6 feet
of distancing).
We hope everyone enjoys this addition to our
Silver Harbour community. Happy reading!!!!
